Greentech Marine Fuel Saver (Greentech MFS)

A patented, passive fuel enhancer — Proprietary Greentech Fuel Enhancing Technology helps the fuel atomize finer and burn more completely.

For every fuel tank on board, from an outboard's portable tank to an ocean-going ship. Read it here, or download the PDF for your chief engineer.

01

One technology, sized for every tank

Greentech is a patented, passive fuel enhancer that sits in the fuel tank. It needs no power and no wiring, has no moving parts, and changes nothing on the engine or the fuel system.

For ships the model is the MFS-T10000: one unit for every 10,000 litres of tank capacity. Boats and smaller tanks use the same technology in the G-series (gasoline) and the D-series (diesel).

  • Aluminum alloy casing with patented internal components
  • No power, no wiring, no moving parts
  • No consumables: about 10 years in the tank
  • Serial-numbered, with a 12-month product warranty after registration

Finer atomization, more complete combustion

Fuel that atomizes finer burns more completely. You see it in three places.

  • Less fuel per hour and per mileSame work from less fuel. Read it per engine running hour or per nautical mile on your own vessel.
  • Cleaner exhaustMore complete combustion: lower CO and HC in the exhaust.
  • Fewer carbon depositsLess carbon left behind in the engine.
  1. In the tankThe unit sits in the fuel
  2. At the injectorThe fuel atomizes finer
  3. In the cylinderIt burns more completely

Boats save fuel too. Every vessel runs differently, so we do not quote a fixed percentage for ships and boats: the result is read on your own vessel (section 6).

A ship engine control room

Before installation: ask the engine maker

More complete combustion raises engine speed (RPM) and output. Please confirm with the engine manufacturer that the engine has room for this within its rating. Engines from established makers such as Caterpillar, Cummins, Yanmar, Volvo Penta and Perkins are generally built with that margin. We supply the product specification they need.

How many units: every tank on its own

Each separate tank gets its own units, placed inside the tank. The tank's fuel and capacity set the model and the number.

  • Tank 30,000 LMFS-T10000 × 3
  • Two separate 10,000 L tanks1 + 1

Part of a unit rounds up: 12,000 L takes two MFS-T10000. A generator with its own day tank takes its own unit. If it draws from the main tanks, the main-tank units cover it.

The written specification confirms the number for every tank.

Installation

Ships · MFS-T10000

For new and existing vessels. Placed inside the tank, above the sludge layer, during a normal port call: no dry-docking, and no change to the engine or the fuel system.

  1. Send the vessel surveyEngine make and model, rating, fuel, and every tank.
  2. Check with the engine makerConfirm the engine has room for more output within its rating.
  3. Written specification and quoteUnits for each tank, in writing.
  4. Placed in the tanks at berthDuring a normal port call. No dry-docking.

Boats · G-series and D-series

Open the cap and put it in; a built-in tank takes the unit through the filler. Nothing on the engine changes. Water at the bottom of the tank or E10 gasoline is no problem for the casing.

Fuel is flammable. Stop the engine before a tank is opened and follow the vessel's safety rules for work on fuel tanks. No smoking near the tank, no sparks or open flame; keep the space ventilated and wipe up any spill.

Reading the result on your own vessel

A brass engine order telegraph on a ship bridge

Same vessel, same engine, before and after: log fuel per engine running hour or per nautical mile over 30–180 days. One voyage swings with weather, load and sea state; the trend is what counts, and it shows most at steady cruising load. We supply the logging sheet.

What to log

  • Date and voyage
  • Engine running hours
  • Fuel used (litres)
  • Distance (nautical miles)
  • Load or cargo
  • Weather and sea state

Because every vessel, route and load is different, we do not quote a fixed fuel-saving percentage for ships or boats.

For shipyards and marine engineers: Greentech Capsule

If you design or refit fuel systems, we supply the Greentech Capsule, the inline enhancer core, with its dimensions and the flow and contact-time conditions it needs. You design the housing and the fittings for your vessel; the capsule keeps its Greentech serial number and warranty.

  • Capsule with dimensions and installation conditions
  • Specification sheet, serial number and 12-month product warranty
  • Survey form and the measuring method for your first vessel

Class society and engine maker

Greentech MFS makes no change to the engine or the fuel system. Vietnam Register replied in writing in August 2026 that such a device is not part of a ship's structure, machinery or electrical systems; its use in the tank must follow the fuel-system and engine-room safety rules, and on international voyages it is recorded in the ship's SEEMP for review by the class society.

We supply whatever specification your class society or engine maker asks for.
