Who we are

About Alga Engineering Solutions LLP

Alga Engineering Solutions LLP is the exclusive Greentech Fuel Saver distributor for India, based in Tamil Nadu. We supply, fit and support Greentech fuel enhancers for commercial fleets, buses, generator sets and industrial equipment, and we work with TVS, the dealer group that has sold and serviced Ashok Leyland since that manufacturer was founded.

We do not ask operators to take fuel savings on trust. We fit the device, record the fuel and odometer data the fleet already keeps, and hand the numbers back.

Between 2025 and 2026, four trucks across two Tamil Nadu fleets ran 219,793 km on the Greentech D51. Every vehicle improved — between 6.8% and 7.7%, averaging 7.2%. The full case study is published, including the note that the vehicles were operated by their owners and not controlled by us during the trial.

TVS Mobility ran the device on two of their own service vehicles from July 2021 to May 2024. Their signed report records 4.66 → 5.12 km/L on one and 4.44 → 5.10 km/L on the other — 10% and 15% — with the monthly fuel and odometer figures for all 35 months attached.

If fuel is a line on your monthly accounts, the sensible next step is a fleet evaluation on your own vehicles, measured against your own records.

Verified in the field

7% better mileage, proven over 219,793 km of real fleet operation

Two independent Tamil Nadu fleets — PS Blue Metals (aggregate tippers) and Mumbai Carriers (long-haul) — fitted the Greentech Fuel Saving Device to four heavy commercial vehicles. Baseline mileage came from each fleet's own fuel-filling and odometer registers, then every litre and kilometre was tracked month by month for up to 13 months. No route, load or driver changes were made.

Typical payback

2.4–3.1months

Savings of ₹16,000–20,400 per truck per month against a one-time device cost.

  • TN39 DA 2869 held 3.70 kmpl across 13 months and 106,897 km — the gain does not fade.
  • Every vehicle improved between +6.8% and +7.7% — a repeatable result, not a one-off.
  • Approx. 12.7 tonnes of CO₂ avoided, which counts towards fleet emission targets.

How these figures were derived — Savings = (km run after installation ÷ baseline kmpl) − actual diesel filled after installation, valued at each fleet's own diesel purchase price (₹94–₹100 per litre). All distance and fuel data are taken from the customers' own trip sheets and fuel-filling records; Moletech and Alga did not control the vehicles during the trial. Individual results vary with vehicle condition, load, route and driving pattern. CO₂ figure calculated at 2.68 kg per litre of diesel. Payback is illustrated against the D51 list price of ₹50,000 incl. GST.

Excavators: 4.0% less diesel for every engine hour

Ramalingam Construction Company fitted a D51 to its Tata Hitachi ZAXIS 220LC excavator on 7 August 2026. The figures are the company’s own hour-meter and fuel-filling records: seven months and 1,859 engine hours before fitting, against the first 208.8 hours after.

One Fuel Enhancer and one Air Refiner, rated for tanks up to 500 litres — the ZAXIS 220LC carries 400 L.

  • The enhancer goes into the fuel tank and stays there
  • The Air Refiner sits at the air intake
  • No engine modification, no maintenance, nothing to refill

Why litres per engine hour

An excavator works in one place, so kilometres per litre tells you nothing. The measure is diesel per engine hour: litres filled, divided by hours on the hour meter. This machine burns about 3,500 litres of diesel a month.

Measured against its own history

The baseline is the full January–July average, not one chosen month: as the work changed, this machine’s monthly figure moved between 11.3 and 14.6 litres an hour. The record continues, and later months will be added here as they close.

How the figures were derived

At the seven-month rate of 13.126 litres an hour, 208.8 hours would have taken 2,741 litres; the machine used 2,630 — 111 litres less. All figures are the owner’s own hour-meter and fuel-filling records, compiled by Alga in its FSD Report Summary of 15 September 2026. Results vary with machine condition, duty and operator.
