Tenders and dinghies
Portable 12–25 L tank under the seat or at the transom: one G-Ball. A 25 L tank still takes one.
Small outboard fishing boats
One G-Ball per portable tank. Two tanks on board, two G-Balls. A built-in tank of 20–60 L takes a G10A instead.
Jet skis and personal watercraft
The built-in tank is usually 20–70 L: up to 20 L a G-Ball, 20–60 L a G10A, through the fuel fill.
Boats save fuel too. More complete combustion raises engine speed and output, so ask the engine maker first whether the engine has room for it.

How it goes in
- Engine off. Open the tank cap.
- Drop the G-Ball in. It sinks into the fuel and stays there.
- Close the cap and refuel as usual. Nothing on the engine changes.
Fuel is flammable. Engine off before you open the tank. No smoking near the tank, no sparks or open flame; work in a ventilated space and wipe up any spill. If in doubt, have a marine technician or a Greentech authorised installer put it in.
- Water at the bottom of the tank or E10 gasoline is no problem for the casing.
- It stays in the tank for about ten years. Nothing to replace, no maintenance.
- The enhancer must be in contact with the fuel, so it always goes inside the tank, never on the fuel line.
Questions
Does the G-Ball fit a jerrycan-style portable tank?
Yes. Any portable gasoline tank up to 20 L with a cap you can open. Bigger portable tanks (25 L) still take one G-Ball.
My outboard has a built-in tank. Still a G-Ball?
Only up to 20 L. Built-in tanks of 20–60 L take a G10A, 60–100 L a G10, through the fuel fill.
Two-stroke with premix?
Yes; the unit sits in the fuel and the oil in the mix does not affect it.
Will the engine run differently?
More complete combustion raises engine speed and output, so ask the engine maker first whether the engine has room for it. The engine itself is not modified.
How do I check the saving on a small boat?
Same rpm, same run: log how far a full portable tank takes you, for a few outings before and after. We publish no saving figure for boats.
